The Regional Training Program has launched the “Analysis of Financial Data in the Education Sector

In the efforts pursued to enhance the strategic partnerships of the UNESCO Regional Centre for Information and Communication Technology, the Regional Training Program has launched the “Analysis of Financial Data in the Education Sector” event. The activities of this event were held in the Center’s headquarters in Manama during the period of 19-22 February 2024. This event was organized by the Regional Center for Educational Planning in the United Arab Emirates in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The inauguration ceremony of this event was attended by Her Excellency Ms. Mahra Hilal Almutwei, Director of the Center for Educational Planning in Sharjah, Dr. Shaikha Abdullah Mohammed Mufeez, Director of Planning and Educational Projects Department at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Mubarak Abdullah Butti, Acting Secretary General of the Bahrain National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, and a considerable number of concerned specialists along with other ministries, related entities, and institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Her Excellency Ms. Mahra Almutwei has joyfully expressed her gratitude and satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation exhibited by the team of the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain. H.E. also pointed out that the “Analysis of Financial Data in the Education Sector” program will surely promote skills acquisition and knowledge sharing among participants who came from diversified institutional backgrounds. She also noted that this event will enhance participants’ knowledge regarding preparing budgets, data analysis and educational planning which would lead to a higher level of efficiency in analyzing financial statements in the education sector and ease in presenting the relevant data to decision-makers to help them with the necessary planning in both financial and educational fields. On the other hand, Dr. Shaikha Abdullah Mohammed Mufeez, Director of Planning and Educational Projects Department at the Ministry of Education, highly praised the mutual cooperation between the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Regional Center for Educational Planning in Sharjah, for all the efforts exerted by both teams in organizing this event. She also pointed out that the success of this event reflects the genuine commitment to further develop the educational sector and enhance the understanding of the financial challenges faced by this sector. Dr. Mufeez also stated that this event provides an outstanding opportunity for all participants to exchange views, which will contribute effectively to building strategies that help better analyze financial data which would ultimately serve the continuous improvement of education in the region. 
It is worth mentioning that this event aims to present to the participants a holistic view on the nature of data analysis in the field of education. It would also provide them with the necessary skills to conduct descriptive, diagnostic and inferential data analysis. This event would also enhance their abilities them to bridge financial data and education, and to build perceptions based on various types of data.
